This forum will put the lime light on the cities’ important role in finding sustainable solutions to many of our environmental problems. It is a high-level, by invitation only seminar co-hosted by the Swedish Government and the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the P.R. China. The SymbioCity Forum is part of the Swedish Government’s efforts to strengthen the development towards a sustainable, low-carbon, society and an eco-efficient economy.
Cooperation between public and private sector, and academia in the transition towards a sustainable and harmonious society is paramount. The seminar therefore aims at bringing decision makers from cities, provinces and the state together with universities, environmental technology companies and developers to create a hot-pot of ideas, experience and innovations within the field of sustainable urban development.
